Terms of Use

This is the English version of our Términos de uso. Both versions have the same content.

These terms govern your use of the SpanishFeed app (the "app") and the site https://spanishfeed.vercel.app, provided by SpanishFeed ("we"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

1. The service

SpanishFeed brings together public Spanish-language internet content, selected by us, and presents it in a personalized feed, a viral-links section and a news section. The app is free, funded by ads, and offers an optional purchase to remove them. You don't need an account.

2. Third-party content

  • Content in the app belongs to its authors and is shown with its source. See Copyright & Takedown Policy.
  • Opinions expressed in posts, conversations or articles are their authors', not ours, and we don't endorse them.
  • We check that quoted text and numbers appear at their source, but we don't guarantee that what the source says is true, complete or current. Popularity charts and figures reflect the moment they were checked.
  • Some content is humorous or satirical; when a source is satirical, we say so.
  • Opening a link takes you to third-party services (YouTube, TikTok, news outlets, etc.) governed by their own terms. By watching YouTube videos you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • copy, scrape or redistribute the app's content, or use it to build a competing service;
  • decompile, modify or circumvent the app's technical measures, except as the law expressly allows;
  • interfere with ads through click fraud or similar;
  • use the app to break the law or infringe others' rights.

Sharing a post with the app's "Share" feature is allowed; when you do, respect its author's rights.

4. Minimum age

You must be at least 13, or the minimum age your country requires to use this kind of service without parental consent. Some content may contain colloquial language or adult humor; the "Include edgier content" option is off by default.

5. SpanishFeed Plus (no ads)

  • SpanishFeed Plus removes ads from the app. It doesn't unlock extra content: all content is free for everyone.
  • It's bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play, with your store account's payment method. The available plans (monthly, annual or one-time) and their prices are shown in the app before purchase, in your local currency.
  • Monthly or annual subscription: renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is charged when you confirm the purchase and at each renewal. You can manage or cancel it in Profile → Gestionar suscripción or in your Apple or Google account settings; after cancelling, Plus stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Free trial (if offered): its length is shown before you start. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown. If you cancel during the trial, you're not charged. One trial per store account.
  • One-time purchase ("Para siempre"): applies for as long as the app is available, on devices using the same store account, with no renewals.
  • You can restore your purchase on another device or after reinstalling with Profile → Restore purchases, using the same store account.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we can't issue them directly.

6. Advertising

The free version shows third-party ads served by Google AdMob. We're not responsible for ad content or the products advertised. Data processing for ads is explained in the privacy policy.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its code, design, name and logo, and the selection and arrangement of content belong to SpanishFeed. We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app under these terms. Third-party content remains the property of its owners.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we don't guarantee that it will work without interruption or errors, or that third-party content is accurate or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing here limits warranties that your country's consumer law doesn't allow to be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages, data loss or lost profits arising from use of the app, or for linked third-party content or services. Our total liability won't exceed the amount you paid for the "Sin anuncios" purchase in the previous 12 months. These limits don't apply to intent, gross negligence, or other cases where the law doesn't allow them.

10. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or stop offering the app, in whole or in part; if we withdraw the "Sin anuncios" purchase in a way that affects you, we'll handle it under the store's policies and applicable law.

11. Governing law

If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring claims in its courts.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll give reasonable notice in the app. Continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept them.

13. Additional terms for Apple devices

If you download the app from Apple's App Store:

  • These terms are between you and SpanishFeed, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app (product liability, regulatory non-compliance, consumer protection or privacy) or third-party intellectual property infringement claims; those are our responsibility.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Anything not covered here is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
